kee chocolatier

A quick stop for a sugar fix - a creme brulee chocolate and lavender macaroon. Another place I will have to return to.

mothers day around the rockefeller center

My mum and I had such a special day, we wondered around the rockefeller center, had lunch in the sun at the rink bar, where in winter it is the famous ice skating rink, went up to the top of the rock for the views, and a little bit of shopping and flower admiring.

my dad

I love this photo of my dad. Listening intently to someone on the day we got engaged. Photo taken by my hubbies aunt B. I love his crazy eyebrows and hardworking hands.

LOVE

LOVE, The New York Collection Eau De Parfum. How gorgeous is the packaging. I found this lovely perfume collection at Anthropologie, it's an organic line inspired by Manhattan. The paper cup packaging evokes the feeling of the on-the-go New Yorker. Fresh and floral scents. Mmmm.

the best views in the city

Radio City Music Hall, a hub for live entertainment, where the list of stars appearing is long - Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Bette Midler, The Eurythmics. The Rockefeller Centre, midtown Manhattan. Home of NBC Studios, views of the Empire State Building and Central Park at the Top of the Rock. Look at that city, it's unbelievable coming from the little Brisbane.

sarabeth's on central park south

We had dinner at this sweet place the first night we arrived. It was 10.30 at night and people were still going in for dinner. It was at this very first dinner that I remembered how big the meals are in the USA. We only ordered appetisers and they were huge. The food delicious, so no complaints, but at that point on it has been all about sharing.
