washington square
Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village. You could sit and people watch the day away. Surrounded by NYU. Culture, politics inspired, music, artists, performers, tourists, me. Brilliant.

xmas gift tags by amy moss
Last Christmas, instead of buying christmas cards that get quickly lost amongst bundles of paper on christmas day, I used these delightful gift tags. Again thanks to Amy Moss at EatDrinkChic who created them and allowed us all to download them for free. Thanks Amy.
afternoon tea at the palm court
The Palm Court at The Plaza hotel opened it's doors in 1907 - wow. The Great Gatsby set a scene here, 1920's nostalgia. I took my mum for a belated mothers day afternoon tea. A timeless and idyllic spot to rest from the hustle and bustle of new york. Yum. And yes, all I'm doing is eating!!

quality meats
A rustic and luxurious restaurant with some serious cuts of meat. Quality Meats was recommended to Mum and I by a friend. Referencing a butcher shop throughout the restaurant, everywhere you look your eyes are stimulated by the raw decor. Highly recommended and we all know a steakhouse in NYC is a must.
sugar sweet sunshine
Coffee and cupcakes at Sugar Sweet Sunshine, a little bakery around the corner from our apartment in the lower east side.
i had to say goodbye to my mum
My sweet mum went home on Thursday. We had such a special time together and I'll treasure each moment. I love this photo of my mum amongst alice in wonderland in central park.
